Well, so far here at Rivendell we have had three “full moon ceremonies“, small gatherings where we come together to reflect on Sophia (Lady Wisdom), and pray for the healing and protection of the Earth and all her creatures. It feels like a good tradition! I can’t tell you how many people I have talked to about this type of Sophian spirituality who have expressed a desire for a community which honours the Earth, honours the Spirit, honours personal experience, and is also Christian. The “Grove of Sophia” at Rivendell is our response to that desire…
Since September, we have basically kept the full moon ceremony “in the family”, but we are now ready to open it up to the wider community.
