Be as the sparrow in the branches of Her Word;
Grow to listen, and here be taught to sing.
Greetings, Greeenpreist, I fully support your ecosophian point of veiw and the gospel of sophia. I think you should try to make a whole gospel of sophia with stories of your sophian expirences.
Farewell
Crowshire
Thank you, Crowshire. That is a great idea! I’m glad you’re resonating with the gospel of Sophia. Peace, Shawn

Hello.
This is amazing and very encouraging.
I was involved in Wicca for a long time, but I have been recently been called back to the Anglican Church.
I have been struggling with fitting my experience of the Divine in into the Church.
This is a breath of fresh air through my soul.
Hi there Vicki … I’m glad you found the site, and that it has been speaking to you. May I ask, what has your journey been like back to the church? I’d love to hear more…
Peace,
Shawn
One thing I would like to say, because it was the Gospel reading today.
As a Wiccan trying to adapt to Christianity, the first story in the Bible that really spoke to me was The Samaritan Woman at the well. (You can probably guess why).
I had adopted a practice of Lectio Divina at this time.
Reading a Bible passage, letting it rest in your heart and allowing the Spirit ( Sophia, Divine Wisdom ) to speak to you through it.
It was, well… magical.
The Woman at the Well is an amazing story! It is such a powerful reminder that the Holy One is the ultimate barrier-breaker, constantly startling people with the ability to connect on the deep and powerful levels of “living water, welling up from within”.
I heard a sermon the other day on this text, where the preacher pointed out that Jesus actually needs something from the woman … he asks for her aid in drawing some water for him. It’s a good reminder that God actually and truly desires something from us. It’s not all a one way street of us needing God all the time … She also wants our help, our co-operation, our mutual aid. This is a very different God than the omnipotent micromanager control-freak sometimes presented to us.
Much to feed upon …
Shawn
Beautiful music that brings us into the embrace of the Divine Feminine. http://www.ashanamusic.com/blog/category/feminine-divine/

This blog has some wonderful writings in it. As someone who has left Wicca behind because somehow it felt a bit empty – and has started along a rather solitary path based in Panentheism, Earth-Based Spirituality and Wisdom/Inner Knowing traditions (Christian, Judaic and Gnostic) I resonate deeply with much of what you say here. It’s odd to be in such a ‘in between’ space. Too Christian for the Pagans and too Pagan for the Christians. So…. I’m a divinaturist 🙂 Now, off to read some more of this site. ~ Pax
Hey there Birch Wind,
Great to hear from you … thanks for your post. I’d love to hear more about the journey and practice of a “divinaturist” … what a great word!
I’ve often felt caught in the “between space” of traditions … but hey, in ecology, it is those “transition zones” between different ecosystems which produce the most interesting forms of biodiversity!
Blessings on your Walk and your Work.
Peace,
Shawn
Just listened to your interview on Tapestry and could hardly contain my joy. I’ve emailed you. Now to re-contact my Elven friends….THANK YOU for the validation!!
Hi Laurel … so glad that the interview resonated with you! I’ll check my mail and get back to you in the next little while. Peace be with you!
Hi there,
I’m new to exploring christopaganism. I’m wondering if you know of any communities in Australia who share these ideas and practises?
Thanks 🙂
Hi there Mel! Good question … I don’t know much about what is going on in Australia for ChristoPaganism, but you may want to track down a fellow named Matt Stone ( https://forestspirituality.podbean.com/e/matt-stone-and-christian-druidry/ ) Hope you can connect with him!
